Announcement: Campus Selection for Digital Media Innovation Design in 2025 Anhui Robot Competition

The event is scheduled for late May. As required by the organizing committee, each university must recommend participating teams through an internal selection competition.

The competition content and process are as follows:

I. Competition Content

The contest consists of two categories: Creative Works (Category A) and Skills Competition (Category B). Both undergraduate and postgraduate students are eligible to participate in the same track.

1. Creative Works (Category A) Requirements

Theme: "Digital Exploration of Anhui · Creative Vision of Beauty"

Participants must focus on the cultural themes and phenomena of Anhui Province, exploring typical cultural elements from either the city where their university is located or the hometown of the team leader. These may include cultural relics, intangible cultural heritage, famous figures, landscapes, etc.

Mandatory Technical Theme: "Digital Human"

The work must incorporate a 2D or 3D virtual human as part of the creative process (a scoring criterion).

The virtual human should exhibit at least one of the following: visual realism, motion realism, or interactive realism.

Submission materials must detail the implementation steps or algorithms, ensuring no copyright issues.

Application Themes (Optional):

Promotional advertising, science education, entertainment/gaming, narrative storytelling, scene restoration, simulation, media generation, or resource management. Works with a science popularization focus are particularly encouraged.

Subcategories:

Digital Media Development Applications

Interactive media software, including but not limited to:

Smart device apps (mobile, tablet, AR/VR glasses, embedded systems)

WeChat mini-programs, desktop applications, or HTML5 websites

If AI-generated content (AIGC) is used, it must be declared.

The digital human must include interactive logic.

Digital Media Design Applications

Non-interactive media, including but not limited to:

2D/3D static designs (posters, picture books, cultural products)

2D/3D animations, VFX videos (excluding pure live-action edits)

If AI-generated content (AIGC) is used, it must be declared.

The digital human should appear in the final rendered output or physical model.

2. Skills Competition (Category B) Requirements

Theme: Bronze Ware

The tasks will be announced on-site.

Each team consists of 2 members, who must bring their own laptops (2 devices) with pre-installed software.

Teams must complete assigned tasks within 4 hours and present their designs to judges.

Sample questions will be released in early April.

Task 1: "Modeling Production"

Based on provided orthographic drawings, analyze the structural features.

Use 3ds Max / Maya / Blender to create models, UV unwrapping, and texture/material application.

Fulfill the requirements specified in the task document.

Task 2: "Model Presentation"

Using Unity / Unreal Engine, complete interactive 3D display tasks based on provided models.

The final program must meet the objectives outlined in the task document.

II. Competition Process

By April 28:

Category A: Submit registration form + introduction video (50MB)

Category B: Submit registration form only

Category A: Expert review Awards (1st/2nd/3rd prizes, 60% of teams). Recommended teams for the provincial competition will be announced.

Category B: On-site evaluation Recommendations for the provincial competition.
